History
Euromedic began operations in Portugal with its acquisition of “Eurodial” in February of 2007. This acquisition included two dialysis centres (IDC Leiria and Obidos) both of which are located north of the capital city Lisbon. Together, these centres have over 350 patients and with its staff of more than 100 medical and technical professionals will perform in excess of 54,000 dialysis treatments per year.

In early October, 2007 Euromedic continued its expansion in Portugal with the acquisition of two additional companies “Clinica central do Bonfim” in Porto and “Clinica de Diagnostico pela Imagem” (CDI) in Evora. The “Bonfim” company consists of two dialysis centres (Pereira and Gondomar) with 165 patients and one diagnostic centre (Bonfim) located in Porto. CCB is a well established company with over 37 years of distinguished service to the community.
The company provided its services primarily in the Porto Metropolitan Area and in the districts of Porto and Vila real. The company differentiates itself from its competitors by providing a full range of medical services including: diagnostic imaging investigations, medical appointments, home care, clinical laboratory testing, surgical procedures, haemodialysis, physiotherapy and emergency services. The group’s team of 150 dedicated medical professionals provides service for nearly 1,000 patients per day.

“CDI” located in the Evora’s district of Alentejo region, Portugal - is a multi-modality diagnostic centre. CDI is a well recognized company with over 15 years of dedicated service in Evora. The company has significant market brand awareness and a leading position within its geographic area. The company provides a full range of diagnostic procedures including: CT, MRI, Digital Radiology, Mammography, EEG, Echo Doppler, Ultra Sound, ECG Holter, and other specialized medical services. This year with its team of 100 dedicated medical professionals (Headed by Dr. Fonseca’s Family) the company will complete over 100,000 diagnostic investigations.
“CREAR” medical services company; a modern multi-modality out patient and diagnostics centre located in the center of downtown Lisbon, Portugal joined Euromedic in late October, 2007. The company and its staff headed by Dr. Luis Fouto have a distinguished service reputation with over 10 years of service to the community. The company provides a full range of diagnostic procedures including: CT, MRI, Digital Radiology, Mammography, Densitometry, Cardiology, Appointments, Otorhinolaryngology, Orthopedics, Nutrition, Echocardiograms, Echography and Tone/Vocal Audiograms.
In March 2008, Euromedic acquired “CIENTIA Medical Group” which is headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal. The acquisition included 32 medical centres (18 Clinical Laboratories and 14 Diagnostic Centres) located principally in the Central Regions of Portugal. The diagnostic centres are multi-modality diagnostic facilities offering a wide range of imaging services. The Clinical Laboratories and 267 collection points many of which are located in the same cities as the diagnostic centres offer a complete line of clinical laboratory investigations.
“CIENTIA Group” and its subsidiary companies have well established brand names as distinguished, professional medical services providers with over a decade of dedicated service in Portugal. The group together, with the seven Medical Centres that Euromedic has already acquired in Portugal, will become one of the largest private Medical Services providers in the Country. The CIENTIA Group, with its team of nearly 300 medical professionals receives more than 2,000 patients per day and performs over 4.0 million Diagnostic / Laboratory examinations per year.
The company provides a complete range of Outpatient, Diagnostic and Laboratory services including: CT, MRI, Mammography, Internal Medicine, Echotomography, Echography, Digital X-ray, Bone Densitometry, Cardiology and complete line of clinical laboratory services.

The acquisition includes six multi-modality diagnostic centres: CRT- Centro de Radiologia de Tomar, DIAMECOM-Diagnóstico Médico Computorizado, SANTAC-TAC de Santarém, CIMAGEM-Centro de Imagens Medicas, NIC-Núcleo de Imagiologia Computorizada and ULTRASONO-Radiologia, which are located in the Central Region of Portugal (Tomar, Santarém, Abrantes, Entroncamento, Sertã and Torres Vedras). The group provide a complete range of Outpatient Diagnostic services including: MRI, CT, Angio, Mammography, Ultra Sound, X-ray, and Bone Densitometry services.

The “CRT Diagnostics Group” headed by Dr. Alexandre Correia Leal and his team of 75 medical professionals receives more than 800 patients per day and completes over 235,000 Diagnostic investigations per year. These centres together, with the 39 Medical Facilities that Euromedic is already operating in Portugal, will make Euromedic the leading private Diagnostics Medical Services provider in the Country.
