Health Care Global
South Asia's largest cancer centre network
HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd. is South Asia's largest cancer care provider with a nationwide network of centres.
In 1989 Dr. Ajai Kumar along with four other oncologists started the first comprehensive cancer centre in the country, the Bangalore Institute of Oncology (BIO). This offers a full suite of oncology services.
HCG offers CyberKnife® radiosurgery at its new Centre for Robotic Radiosurgery in Bangalore, one of only two CyberKnife centres in the whole of the Indian sub-continent.
HCG affiliated centres are born out of collaboration with hospitals and physicians and tailored to meet the needs of the communities they serve. They offer comprehensive services as part of a prestigious network that is working to advance the quality of cancer care every day.
The benefits and insights of experience are infused throughout the operations and architecture of each centre. Each centre also benefits from participating in the HCG network, driving down costs and opening up opportunities to contribute to groundbreaking research.
From city hospitals to university hospitals, community hospitals to satellite centres, HCG's framework has proven a success at every level.
To cater for growing demand, the BIO Specialty Centre was added, with 60 medical oncology beds, a tertiary care ICU, a bone marrow transplant unit and a PET-CT unit.
CyberKnife is the gold standard of radiation therapy for cancer and neurosurgery, giving painless, 'non-invasive' treatments in a single or small number of sessions, compared to weeks of treatment with radiotherapy. For more details visit the CyberKnife page.
Although rooted in oncology, HCG offers a wider range of treatments at some of its facilities, such as the HCG Medisurge Hospital in Ahmedabad.
